I look at our Rising Star of the Year award every day, and it reminds me how much I have to be thankful for. Winning it last year was a special moment for South Shore Fences and something I’ll always appreciate. It makes me think of the customers, family, friends, and community who have supported us along the way. That reminder keeps me motivated to work hard and earn the trust people place in us.

People’s Choice Is BACK—and It Starts With YOU!

The People’s Choice Award – Business of the Year, sponsored by Scotia Metals Corp., returns for the 2026 Yarmouth Business Awards! 🎉

Now that all category nominees have been published, is there a business you feel deserves a moment in the spotlight? A local favourite you didn’t see on the lists? Here’s your chance to put its name forward!

📝 HOW TO NOMINATE

Submit the name of the business you believe deserves to be People’s Choice Business of the Year through our official nomination form:

• Each individual may submit one nomination only.
• The business must be located within Yarmouth and the surrounding region—see the form for eligibility details.

Once nominations close, the Chamber will review submissions and create a shortlist of eligible businesses. The public will then vote to determine the winner!

🏆 The winner will be revealed at the 2026 Yarmouth Business Awards Gala on October 22 at the Mariners Centre, presented by RBC and Doane Grant Thornton.
