⚠️ PLEASE STAY VIGILANT WHEN CHOOSING A TRADESPERSON ⚠️

We recently attended a property after the customer had paid someone to carry out repairs to a leaking roof.

Unfortunately, the customer has told us that since the work was carried out, the water ingress has actually become worse, and they are now being asked for further payment.

The photo below shows the condition we found the roof in when we attended.

This isn't a post to name and shame anybody. It's simply a reminder to do your checks before allowing someone to work on your property.
And remember — price isn't always an indication of quality either.

We recently completed a garage flat roof where the customer had previously received quotes ranging from around £1,500 all the way up to £4,800 for the same roof. That's a massive difference and shows exactly why it's worth getting more than one quotation and understanding what you're actually getting for your money.

The cheapest quote doesn't automatically mean poor workmanship, and the most expensive quote doesn't automatically mean the best workmanship.

Check reviews, look at previous work, check insurance, get a proper written quotation and ask exactly what materials and system are being used and what guarantee you're receiving.

Don't choose on price alone — choose based on who you trust to do the job properly.
