A commission for a couple of good friends who had just returned from Egypt and wanted to keep the vibe of lounging in the sun, relaxing and reading a good book alive.

I enjoyed familiarising myself with my planer thicknesser for the milling of the lumber . The legs are dowelled and glued to the frame. I made a template for the routing out of the stays for the backrest. I finished it with three coats of Ronseal 10 year woodstain in dark oak to compliment the grey cushions.

Warehouse Clearance. Well I've over exaggerated that, just a tad. 😂 Garage Sale is more appropriate. I need some extra space to start prototyping some new ideas I have (more to come in the future). I have 3 x 6ft Traditional Picnic Tables and 1 x Walk-In Picnic Table. I currently have a 10% offer on them until the end of March. I'm going to knock off a further £30 on these four tables so the price you pay will be £285 on the Traditional and £330 on the Walk-In. All of them have a hole for a parasol.

You quickly realise in business that time is money and whenever you can speed up your processes, accuracy and repeatability it's worth investing some time which is why I made this mitre fence so I don't have to measure each individual piece of wood. The best part about it is that it reduces tear-out on the bottom and back sides of the timber which increase the quality of your projects.

Just before Christmas I finally installed a built-in wardrobe for my friend's sons bedroom. She gave me free rein on creating her a new one. The old one had seen better days. The only stipulation was that it should be full height and we agreed to make it slightly wider and deeper for better clothes hanging storage. I knew I wanted to have integrated handles as they seem to be en vogue. I knew he had a lot of footwear so I added a couple of adjustable shelves. Obviously it wouldn't be complete without soft close hinges. I learnt a few new skills along the way and some much needed self believe thanks to my friends encouragement.

***SOLD*** The item in the photographs is available for sale. It has two coats of Cuprinol satin walnut varnish and is further sealed with a coat of Cuprinol satin yacht varnish. This is available for £250.

The perfect place for a natter with your loved ones or just a catch-up with your best friend and of course a cup of tea/coffee or your favourite tipple. The table is mounted under the arms with 4 bolts so you can carry on using the arm rests whereas most others sit over the arm rests therefore making them less comfortable.
