🔨 Another decking project completed! 🌿

Originally asked to lift the decking and sort out a few joists, but once the Millboard composite boards were lifted, it became clear that the frame underneath needed a lot more attention!
The job turned into a full rebuild of the supporting frame, using new pressure-treated timber and suitable decking joist protection to help protect the timber and extend the life of the structure.

♻️ Once the new frame was in place, the existing Millboard composite decking boards were carefully relaid to give the decking a new lease of life.

✅ Full rebuild of the underlying frame ✅ New pressure-treated timber ✅ Protective joist tape to help prevent moisture damage ✅ Existing Millboard composite boards relaid

Sometimes what looks like a small repair turns into a bigger job, but getting the foundations right is essential for a long-lasting finish! 💪

🍂 AUTUMN LAWN RENOVATION – GET YOUR LAWN READY FOR WINTER 🌱

After an exceptionally dry August, many lawns have really taken a beating this summer. ☀️🥵

Scorched, dry, patchy and tired-looking grass is something we’re seeing a lot of at the moment — but autumn is the perfect time to bring your lawn back to life before winter sets in.

Our autumn lawn renovations can include:

🌱 Scarifying to remove dead thatch and moss
🌱 Aerating compacted soil to improve drainage and root growth
🌱 Overseeding thin and damaged areas
🌱 Applying the right lawn feed to encourage healthy growth
🌱 Restoring colour, density and overall lawn health

Getting this work done now gives the grass time to establish strong roots before the colder, wetter months, helping it come back thicker, healthier and greener next spring. 💚

If your lawn has suffered from the dry weather this summer, don’t write it off! A good autumn renovation could be exactly what it needs.

🛠️ Another garden transformation completed by Smith's Lawn & Home Maintenance! 🌿
A great project from start to finish.
This garden had a steep, untidy bank that wasn't making the best use of the space. We transformed it by building a pressure-treated timber retaining sleeper wall, then added a rustic natural stone retaining wall behind it to create a strong, attractive feature that blends perfectly with the garden.
The result is a much cleaner, more usable space with a finish that's built to last.
