HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY:
We are thankful for
-YOU: our new customers and friends, our returning and faithful customers and friends
-all the posts that are liked and shared; all the feedback we receive
- the community we get to do not only one business in, but two.
-the friends that step in when we need a little extra help. I couldn’t have done it without them. This season was a little crazy as we went from being full-time grandparents for a month, straight into greenhouse season.
-all the prayers sent up for our beautiful and amazing granddaughter. God has heard and answered and she is recovering well. These pictures are 4 days post open heart surgery. We were so happy when these smiles returned.

Surgery went well this morning. She is hooked up to a lot of IVs. She’s really struggling with pain, crying silent: tears running down her face but no noise. They’re monitoring her closely and adjusting morphine, sedating her a little more as she keeps trying to pull out her ventilator. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I can’t wait to snuggle her again

Thankyou everyone for all your prayers and concerns. Surgery is confirmed for October 6. They have decided to do open heart surgery. Poor little miss will have to fast for 8 hours before and surgery will be at minimum 5 hours. We hope to be able to go see her post surgery so if you feel led to send anything along for mom or baby please message me. Do not feel pressured to do anything as they are being well taken care of. We definitely covet your prayers. I think of the song “He’s got the Whole World in His Hands” even the itty bitty babies. In this picture she is showing her true character: always smiling. She is teaching me that even when life is tough, there’s always something to smile about. She just turned 8 months yesterday and weighs a “whopping” 11 pounds.

This year was a hard year for me when it came to my flowers. We had so much rain, hail at least twice, and some winds that blew a couple of my planters off the railing. But my supertunias in my front flower bed are still showing off. How was your flower season this year. Pics would be awesome 😁

This beautiful sunshine is on her way home. She ended up getting a cold over the weekend and a round table discussion of 30 doctors decided it was better to wait until she was completely over her cold before doing the next surgery. Unfortunately that means going back to Vancouver in a month. The care she had was over the top amazing; both for parents and baby and I’m thankful for the healthcare we have access to.

We had a pretty scary morning. This little ray of sunshine was scheduled to go under anesthesia to allow doctor to look at her heart through an artery. Moments into it, she went into cardiac arrest. She is in recovery and doing ok but will need another surgery, hopefully sooner than later to repair quite a large hole in her heart. She will remain in PICU in Vancouver. I will be taking a break from this page to do some canning/preserving all the while trying to keep my other grandkids lives as normal as possible. We covet your prayers. Pictures are pre and post surgery
