Hello everyone! I’m Summer 😁

I’m a Disability Support Worker with Jakins Care Services, and I’m currently welcoming new participants!

I first entered the disability sector in 2022 through Plan Management before realising that my true passion was working directly with people and building genuine, meaningful connections.

Since moving into support work in 2025, I’ve completed my Certificate III in Individual Support and am looking forward to commencing my Certificate IV in Disability.

I’m passionate about providing person-centred, consistent and genuine support while helping participants:

✨ Build independence and confidence
✨ Access their community
✨ Try new things and have fun
✨ Feel supported, heard and valued

I believe the right support relationship is built on trust, consistency and finding what works for each individual.

We are a small, Toowoomba-based care company committed to providing individualised, participant-focused support that helps people feel empowered, supported and connected within their community.

Our services include:

We currently have capacity for new participants who are looking for a small, supportive and personalised service.

At this stage, we are able to support self-managed and plan-managed participants, with plans to begin supporting NDIA-managed participants in the near future.

Office Junior – Part Time

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Office Junior to join our growing team within the NDIS support sector. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to progress into a full-time role for the right person.

About the Role
As an Office Junior, you will provide administrative support to our team while learning about the NDIS and disability support industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys helping others, and wants to develop their professional skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
- General administrative and office duties
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Assisting with client and provider enquiries
- Data entry and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting team members with day-to-day office tasks
- Learning and applying NDIS processes and procedures

About You
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office programs
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Professional and friendly attitude

Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous customer service experience
- Experience working in an office environment
- Knowledge of, or interest in learning about, the NDIS and disability support sector
