The beans I posted pics of the other day have all been blanched and frozen. Probably 2 quarts of bush beans and 3 quarts of pole beans overall. Anyone in Omaha need Thai pepper chilies?

When I said we have a lot of beans I really meant it. Going to try and blanch and freeze the bush beans this afternoon. Pole beans tomorrow.

This evenings harvest. The peppers and beans are almost over-producing. The tomatoes are the biggest disappointment in the garden this year although the ones I'm getting are delicious.

The moon last night. Another nice August day today and tomorrow as well. The damn yard is killing me though...it's a jungle out there.

Another beautiful evening in Omaha...a bit of rain today of which I am growing weary of.

Over 2 inches of rain the past 2 nights. More coming. Garden is lush. The lawn was mowed 2 days ago and it needs it again. Mosquitoes are loving it. Worst I've had ever at this house (10+ years). On a positive note the Japanese beetles are almost gone. Peppers are going nuts and the beans are refreshing themselves.
