Another project recently breaking ground - the Kirkwood model on a corner lot in East Atlanta Village.

This ADU will be used for aging kids, extended family stays, and a home office. A year ago, the homeowners explored moving to a larger house, but like many people, they realized the market was (and still is) pretty wild. Instead of uprooting, they decided to stay in the neighborhood they love and add flexible space in the backyard.

There’s a lot to like about this one from both a value and privacy standpoint - corner lot, street-facing layout, and tucked onto a sleepy side street in EAV. Hooray for housing!

This modified “East Lake” ADU in is our most recent project to break ground. Designed for the homeowner’s mother, who regularly visits from Vermont for extended stays, the ADU creates a permanent place for her just steps from family. In the past, she rented Airbnbs during her visits and even stayed in the first ADU we built in Reynoldstown.

This project also sets a new record for the closest ADU we’ve built to a primary home at just 3 feet away. To make the layout work, we added a small alcove that wraps around the corner of the house, creating an additional 55 square feet in what was previously unused space.

Now that space provides independent, multigenerational housing just a five-minute walk to MARTA, the BeltLine, and several local coffee shops and restaurants. Hooray for housing! 🏡

Another Atlanta ADU is ready for its owners! This two story, 2/2 “Ormewood” ADU in Ormewood will accommodate the home owners parents half of the year. Creating housing that allows three generations to live on one property is always special!

We’re getting close to the finish line with this Reynoldstown ADU in East Lake. This corner lot street facing ADU will be home to the homeowner’s mother and include several ADA features. Hardie shingles tie in beautifully with the primary home and the character of the neighborhood. 💛

Final punch is done, and once we receive a certificate of occupancy this will be another completed ADU project! This 2/2 Ormewood ADU, is for the homeowners parents who have been snowbirding the past two years and staying in Airbnbs month to month. Now they live next door to their granddaughter with a 5 minute walk to the new Ormewood Ave access that is officially opening next week. Multigenerational living for the win! 🎉🏡

Our latest project to break ground is the ‘East Lake’ studio / one bath in East Atlanta Village, with a modern shed roof and double doors off the side. The lot is so deep we could fit three more units just like this one! Working in backyards gives us a unique perspective on Atlanta - you realize just how much space there is to add housing in a way that’s almost invisible.

The homeowners gain a cozy rental tucked into the trees, just three blocks from the heart of EAV and its amenities. More housing, more neighbors supporting local businesses, no added parking pressure, gentle density, and rental income for the homeowner. It’s a simple idea that just makes sense.🏡❤️

This corner lot, street facing ADU with a great view of East Lake Golf Course is coming along nicely. Shingles and exterior paint match the primary home and it has ADA features like a zero entry shower and 3’ wide interior doors.
