We are honored to announce that Van Winkle Construction has been awarded First Place in the 2026 AGC Build Georgia Awards! This recognition celebrates our work on the new 30-acre campus for North Metro Baptist Church, a project that reflects the dedication, collaboration, and craftsmanship of our entire team.

The campus required innovative construction solutions, including tilt-up concrete walls and a thoughtfully reimagined riser system for the sanctuary seating. Through exceptional communication, technical expertise, and disciplined schedule management, our team delivered a facility that will serve the community for years to come.

This marks our 8th project with 12Stone, and we are honored to continue this partnership with such an awesome organization, alongside Edward Palisoc of EDP Collaborative Design and Barbara Garrett of Garrett Consulting Services. This past Saturday, Van Winkle donated funds to the Southern Riders RC Annual Toy Ride! The proceeds help provide Christmas gifts to local kids through the Coweta County Department of Family and Children Services.

Thank you to Pastor Luke for the glowing testimonial! We appreciate the kind words and the opportunity to work with Pastor Luke on our second project with Prince Avenue Baptist Church.

Van Winkle is currently constructing a new 1,800-seat worship center and seamlessly connecting it to the existing campus at PABC. This will be a major upgrade for congregants, as the new building will be two stories and feature extensive baptistry, green room, offices, and meeting rooms in addition to the worship hall. Large windows will offer plenty of natural light, and the expansion will allow the community at PABC to thrive.

Set to be completed in March 2026—we can’t wait to see this space filled with joy, family, and worship!

It was a beautiful Friday full of fun, community, and support for a worthy cause. As always, all funds raised go to the Matthew E. Russell Foundation to improve literacy--building libraries, offering reading programs, and providing educational technology to communities in need.

Big thank you to North Metro Baptist Church for the endorsements during their Sunday worship service!

Van Winkle Co. was chosen to build NMBC's brand new campus, which includes this 1,200-seat worship center. It is wonderful seeing the space full of life, love, and joy.

Edward, who served as Project Manager during construction, and his family were honored to attend this service and receive such kind words from Dr. Cox.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone — the retirement of Gary Nicholson, who has devoted 48 years to Van Winkle Construction.

Gary has led the way on many of Atlanta’s most notable projects, including the Church of the Apostles and the Coca-Cola Syrup Plant. His dedication to the construction industry, his family, and his faith is truly unmatched.

Recognized by the AGC of Georgia for “millions of hours supervised with no lost-time injuries,” Gary has set a standard of excellence, safety, and integrity that inspires everyone around him.

✨ Project Spotlight: Bethlehem Church ✨

Van Winkle was proud to partner once again with Bethlehem Church to construct their brand-new campus! 80% of our projects are from returning clients, and this collaboration reflects the trust and relationships we work hard to build.

The impressive new campus is designed to serve every generation — from nursery and pre-k classrooms to a dedicated student building for pre-teens and teens.

At the center is a sanctuary with seating for 1,800, surrounded by classrooms, multipurpose rooms, large and small group rooms for kids through 6th grade, and church offices. What truly sets this campus apart? A welcoming outdoor entertainment venue, open greenspace, and large patio designed to connect with the local community.

Plus, with over 1,000 parking spaces, there’s plenty of room for everyone to gather, grow, and worship.
