Our Nelson team knows how to do a fundraiser in style.

Last week they hosted a cheese tasting evening in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ Pink Ribbon Appeal, complete with fancy cheeses, fresh French baguette, and port shipped all the way from Portugal. Throw in a breast cancer awareness quiz and you have a pretty special night.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among New Zealand women. The funds raised through the Pink Ribbon Appeal go directly towards life-saving research, education, and support services for those affected by breast cancer here in New Zealand. It is a cause close to many hearts, and we are proud to be doing our part.

Our fundraising page is still open and we would love your support. Our target is $2,500, and every donation of $2 or more goes in the draw to win a prize hamper valued at over $800 (just include your name and contact details with your donation).

Thank you to everyone who came along, donated, and helped make the evening such a success. You know who you are.

Today we fired up the grill for a great cause! Our sausage sizzle (thanks to the legendary snags from local butcher Peter Timbs) was a lunchtime hit, all in aid of the Pink Ribbon Appeal for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.

Special mention to our two brave blokes who donned pink tutus and wigs to man the barbecue. True legends.

The sausage sizzle is just one part of our month-long fundraising effort. We've already had a fantastic bake sale, and our hamper raffle is running all month. We're past the halfway mark on our $๐Ÿฎ,๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ goal, but we need your help to get there!

When two of your Hokitika team come back to the office talking about a backyard ultra like it changed them a little bit, you pay attention. Lynda and Harrison took part in this year's Wild West Backyard Ultra and we're still hearing about it.

So when the opportunity came up to get behind the 2027 event as a sponsor, it wasn't a hard conversation. Our Hokitika team is part of that community, and this is what showing up looks like.

Weโ€™re thrilled to welcome Eliot Sinclair back on board as a Gold Sponsor for 2027 ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

It means a lot to partner with organisations who truly see the value in what weโ€™re building, and weโ€™re incredibly grateful for their continued support.

A special mention as well to Lynda Watson who will be back out there running again - we love having you committed to getting back out there next year! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Weโ€™re proud to be supporting The Wild West Backyard Ultra on the Coast this year.

Our GIS team had a great time helping create the race map for the event, and weโ€™ll be cheering on our Hokitika teammates from over the hill as they take on the challenge.

Best of luck to everyone lining up, the Backyard Ultra is no small feat. Weโ€™ll be watching to see how many laps you can squeeze in.

Check out our epic race map! Huge thank you to our GOLD sponsor Eliot Sinclair for pulling this together for us ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last week to celebrate International Womenโ€™s Day at Eliot Sinclair.

It was fantastic to see the room full and to spend the afternoon hearing inspiring stories, connecting with our community and supporting a great cause.

Thanks to your generosity we raised $1,100 for Dress for Success Christchurch Inc and collected a van load of clothing donations to help women prepare for employment and build confidence as they step into new opportunities.

We are especially grateful to our speakers Michelle Sharp, Lisa Plato and Jane Bryden for sharing such thoughtful and inspiring insights on this yearโ€™s theme, Give to Gain.

Thank you as well to the amazing local businesses who donated prizes for the event and helped make the afternoon possible.

G&T Catering and Events, Bourbon Rose Florist, Gift and Graze, Posh Porridge, Pacific Time Industries, The Court Theatre, Eliot Sinclair and thank you to Kea Media for the imagery.

And of course, thank you to everyone who attended, donated clothing, or supported the event in any way. Your support helps create real impact in our community.
