Our team recently completed a water main 🚰 as-built survey at The Hermitage, Mt Cook Village.

This was a big day out from Christchurch — around 14 hours on the road and on site — with a tight timeframe made even more challenging by the need to establish our own site control before completing the survey work.

As-built surveys are essential for recording the accurate location of underground services before they are covered over. This information helps contractors, engineers, asset owners, and future project teams know exactly where critical infrastructure is located.

We finished the final GNSS control survey in the dark, but not without capturing the accurate data the project needed.

A challenging site, an incredible backdrop, and another job delivered by the Faction team.
