"Do you replace the whole window?" We get asked this a lot.

Retrofit double glazing and full frame replacement are two different services, and understanding the difference helps you choose what's right for your home.

Retrofit involves removing the single pane from your existing frame and fitting a double glazed unit in its place. The existing frame is kept and reworked to take the new unit, so only the glass, beads, aluminium hardware, hinges and rubbers are new. From the street, the frames look like a new modern flat profile rather than the older angled frames.

Full frame replacement takes a different approach. The entire window structure is replaced, with new aluminium joinery fitted alongside new double glazed units.
