This week at Kingdom Construction 🔨

Troy checked in with Ferg to see how things were going. Ferg sent back this photo. We’ll take that as everything’s under control! 😂

Meanwhile, there’s plenty happening across Auckland.

📍 Onehunga – Our kitchen, laundry and living room renovation is nearing completion, and things are looking great!

📍 Clarks Beach – The waterfront deck project is progressing, with more decking going down and the stairs taking shape.

📍 Avondale – Work is underway on a master bedroom renovation, including a new ensuite and walk-in wardrobe.

📍 Kingdom Construction HQ – Even our storage is getting a makeover! We’re building a new space to keep our tools and equipment organised and ready for action. Watch this space!

Another busy week for the team, with plenty more to come.

Have a great weekend from everyone at Kingdom Construction!

Meet Dan! 👋

Dan is the newest member of the Kingdom Construction team, joining us as a fourth-year building apprentice after transferring from a good friend of the company.

He was already a familiar face to the boys, and he’s quickly become a valuable part of the team. In fact, he’s proving so popular that all our foremen want him on their jobs! That’s a pretty good endorsement from the people working alongside him every day.

When he’s not on the tools, you’ll probably find Dan out exploring some rough terrain in his 4WD. 🛻

Great to have you on the team, Dan!

This week at Kingdom Construction! 🔨

The weather is improving, and the boys have their hats on! ☀️

The team has been busy working on the deck at Clarks Beach, amongst other things.

Summer’s on the way! Thinking about a new deck, pergola or other outdoor improvements? Now’s a good time to get things organised before the rush.

Give Troy a call!

This week at Kingdom Construction…

Some maintenance in Henderson uncovered an interesting problem. Gutter guards are normally there to help keep leaves and debris out, but in this case they had actually made the problem much worse. They were so blocked that plants were growing out of them, creating the potential for water to overflow and get into the roof cavity.

Over at Clarkes Beach, the new deck is really starting to take shape, and you can’t complain about that view while you’re working.

We’ve also got interior linings going into the granny flat in Onehunga, balcony work in Te Atatū and flashing at the Avondale shops.

Another good week for Troy and the team. Have a great weekend!

Your roof may look fine, but what’s underneath?

In this Kingdom Tip, Troy looks at the building paper beneath a metal roof and how older bitumen paper deteriorates, increasing the risk of water getting into the roof space.

It’s the hidden barrier against water ingress, and an important part of keeping your home weathertight.

The boys are on top of it at Kingdom Construction this week.

Can you spot the team? 👀 They’ve been busy reframing and reroofing these shops in Avondale.

Elsewhere this week, there’s been a residential reroof in Glen Eden, a new deck and balustrades in Te Atatū, French doors replaced in Birkdale, and an old deck in Glen Eden getting replaced with Kwila. Work is also continuing on one of our granny flat builds.

From commercial work to the family home, it’s been a good mix across Auckland this week.

And when it comes to the roofing, we’ve got you covered.

Thinking about a bathroom renovation?

Winter can tell you a lot about how well your old bathroom is actually performing.

Condensation, damp surfaces, mould or a bathroom that takes too long to dry out can all be signs that moisture isn’t being managed well.

A modern bathroom renovation isn’t just about looks. Good ventilation, waterproofing and modern materials can help create a bathroom that performs better and helps keep your home drier.

If winter highlighted some problems with your bathroom, spring is a great time to do something about it.

Talk to Troy at Kingdom Construction about your new bathroom today.

More space for family life.

This Auckland home was extended to give the family more room, adding a new master bedroom and ensuite, a new kitchen, deck and garage.

The work went beyond the renovation itself. Historic water flow issues across the back of the property and driveway were also resolved, improving how the whole area manages water.

The result is a home with more space, better outdoor living and a layout that works much better for everyday family life.

Proud day for the KC team today, Logan officially received his certificate after getting qualified a couple of months back. Good on you Logan, it’s been a hard road for you to get to this day with many set backs but you’ve dug in and made it! You’ve developed into a fine builder and young man that we’re going to miss having on the team. All the best with your brand new career moving forward and don’t be a stranger! No doubt we’ll need you to deliver us some metal in your rig soon.
Thanks BCITO and Setu and Jacob for your combined efforts to train and encourage Logan to his trade cert.
