Sometimes you shouldn't take advice from the person that is selling you a product. I fertilize my own lawn 2 to 3 times a year as needed as some of my customers have already done that in May because that's what a basic program is or that's what you need. Don't waste your money and make it harder on your lawn maintenance guys. Please as your lawn will look much better if you dont sign up for a 6, 8, or 12 time program.

Patience is more than just a virtue when it comes to fertilizing lawns in spring. There is no benefit to fertilizing frozen soil.
