Next, we will come to your home or small business and do a free to you assessment to determine any and ALL damages that are a result of it. Once we have that information, we will make sure to see if this is at all covered by your homeowners, or any other insurance policies you may carry, and work with them directly to get what we can covered! Next, our professional, friendly, expert field workers will come in, seal off the affected area, and get to work drying and cleaning the affected area and the air particles around it. Next, they will go through any items or building materials damaged, salvaging what they can, and taking away what is beyond repair. Our goal is to leave the area better than it was before the incident. Once our work is done, we have an exceptionally skilled and professional contractor at SafeHouse who does all our reconstruction and restoration work, should you choose that service. We understand at SafeHouse that we are coming into you and your loved ones space where you are to feel most protected and safe. 👷 Meet Mike Bishop | Vice President of Construction Services

📸 You may notice one thing missing from Mike’s spotlight: a photo of Mike.

After nearly four decades in construction and restoration, Mike is comfortable managing complex projects, leading crews of 125+ technicians, and tackling multimillion-dollar disaster recovery efforts.

Getting him to pose for a camera, however, may be our toughest project yet. 😄

Fortunately, his experience speaks for itself.

Mike Bishop brings an exceptional depth of restoration and construction expertise to SafeHouse IES. Since beginning his career in 1988, Mike has led complex residential and commercial projects involving structural repairs, environmental remediation, reconstruction, and large-scale disaster recovery.

His career has included leadership roles with ServiceMaster, Rainbow Restoration, and BELFOR, where he spent nine years overseeing high-volume, high-complexity losses. Mike also supported major disaster recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina and provided executive oversight on three large-scale restoration projects involving crews of more than 125 technicians and a combined project value exceeding $80 million.

Mike’s experience was built from the ground up. He began trade school in 1988 while working overnight from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and attending classes during the day. As a former member of the Carpenters Union, his leadership remains grounded in hands-on construction knowledge, professional standards, and an incredible work ethic.

At SafeHouse IES, Mike brings that experience to every project with a straightforward philosophy:

🔍 Is It Mold Growth—or Just Staining?

🌧️ All This Rain Could Be Telling You Something About Your Home

With the incredible amount of rain we’ve been experiencing lately, now is a good time to pay attention to areas of your home that may be vulnerable to water intrusion.
