With temperatures cooling down and summer is over, now is the time to cut sprinklers off till March. I would only recommend watering once every 2 weeks throughout fall and winter unless rainfall occurs. Normally we get plenty of rainfall to keep the grass and plants alive and healthy during this time frame.

Now that we are on the verge of summer, I would recommend bumping water to 2 days a week now in the absence of rainfall. This will keep the lawn alive and healthy as summertime temps will be here within a month. I recommend watering deep and heavy early am if possible equal to a full tuna can or cat food can. It is better to water longer periods of time than small increments daily.

With the lack of rainfall here in the Panhandle I would advise bumping up your watering if you have not yet to 2 days a week in absence of rainfall.
