Concrete is more than just pouring and letting it dry. 🏗️
Our foundation team at Stephens & Smith are using a concrete vibrating machine called a stinger on this foundation wall pour to work out trapped air pockets and break up clumps of material in the mix.
Without this step, you can end up with weak spots or uneven distribution inside the slab. By vibrating the mix, the concrete compacts evenly, fills every gap, and cures into a stronger, longer-lasting foundation.
It is one of those details you might not see, but it makes all the difference in the integrity and durability of the home.
