See that little valve beneath the toilet?

Its proper name is the shutoff valve, but you can also think of it as the “things are getting out of hand” valve, because you can turn it clockwise to shut off the water when the toilet starts overflowing or leaking.

This tiny k**b has one important job, and it’s an easy way to help prevent water damage before our team comes out to fix a toilet problem.

Ten years go fast when you’re part of a good crew. Deb Hoke, CSR, hit 10 years with John Henry’s this August, while Ed Marek, Logistics Manager, has reached 11.

One of Deb's favorite parts of the job has been serving on the Culture Committee and finding ways to help people when they need it most. “Whether it was a family going through a tough time, someone with a serious illness, or an organization that also helps the community. Just something that might help lighten the load a little.”

Ed Marek, Logistics Manager, celebrates 11 years and points to the teamwork that has kept John Henry’s moving forward. “To me, being part of John Henry’s means understanding that individual contributions matter, but our greatest success comes from working together as one team.”

Thanks, Deb and Ed, for 21 combined years of making John Henry’s a better team.
