Blessed Sacrament - Lincoln Renovation Update: This week we took delivery of the first millwork shipment (new choir loft rail and adoration chapel for altar) and cut the marble mensa to reduce the altar of sacrifice length.

Jessica and Kevin met with the St Joseph - Beatrice 5th grade to discuss the design of their new church interior, the occupation of architecture and how their current math study is used in the practice of architecture. They measured the length, width and height of the nave then calculated the area and volume of the church. Those totals were then used to estimate the cost of various materials used in the project. It was an honor to work with these amazing students.

Watercolor was the focus of Kevin’s American Institute Architecture Students Mentor Group’s monthly meeting. Solid wash, graded wash and color transition wash was practiced. He hopes sharing these techniques helps to build an interest in this traditional rendering method.

St Teresa New Rectory: In less than 8 hours, the house is down and much of the debris in the basement is cleaned out.

The equipment is on site to begin the house demolition that will make way for the new St Teresa Rectory. We expect the house to be down and the most of the whole cleaned out by the end of day Monday.

Today we made a visit to the St Joseph Oratory at St Thomas Aquinas - Newman Center on the University of Nebraska Campus.
