The Schwertley Construction team initiated site work on this project last week. Within three days, we successfully completed the footings, walls, and waterproofing; we also addressed interior and exterior backfilling ahead of this week’s rainfall to ensure optimal soil settlement. The upcoming schedule involves grading, multi-lift compaction, and the pouring of both the interior and garage floor slabs.

Our scope for this project encompasses comprehensive site development, including site clearing, access road construction, foundation installation, grading, backfilling, and all site-specific flatwork and preliminaries.

This project involved the replacement of two uplifted sidewalk sections along the house, the setup and pouring of a 14' x 18' concrete pad for a gazebo and hot tub, the installation of electrical conduit, and the replacement of an additional sidewalk section necessitated by utility line routing. All concrete work, along with the er****on of the gazebo, was completed within a single day. One day being concrete work and one day being the gazebo.

We extend our gratitude to our good friends over Patefield Construction for their contribution in constructing the gazebo for us, which allowed us to transition to subsequent projects.

This project involved a significant driveway expansion. We encountered considerable challenges due to persistent rainstorms and a continuously operating sump pump that repeatedly flooded the work area. Our approach involved first addressing the severe water issues originating from the sump pump, which allowed us to subsequently prepare the site and pour the concrete. While not every project proceeds as initially planned, our strength lies in our ability to rapidly assess unforeseen circumstances and develop effective solutions.

We invite you to review our recent patio enhancement, which includes provisions for a future hot tub and gazebo. Additionally, we have incorporated a poured wall with a cap, designed to serve as a seating area, complemented by an extended patio. To ensure aesthetic continuity and a refined finish, the cap has been meticulously extended to integrate with the existing window well, thereby enhancing the overall design coherence.

A little paving action from the Schwertley Construction crew this morning. This area was torn out, set up, and poured back in a total of one and a half days. Guys will be back over a little bit later today to saw cut. Once this section is cured we will open it up and then continue tearing out the rest of the road and pour that back.
