A little paving action from the Schwertley Construction crew this morning. This area was torn out, set up, and poured back in a total of one and a half days. Guys will be back over a little bit later today to saw cut. Once this section is cured we will open it up and then continue tearing out the rest of the road and pour that back.

Check this out 👀. This project showcases the construction of footings and walls, designed to serve as both a storage area and retaining walls, topped with a poured concrete cap. Additionally, the rear patio was torn out and replaced, a new footing was installed for the deck expansion, and a small entry pad was poured for the storage room. We also tackeled the exterior waterproofing, drain tile, and backfilled with rock for first 2 foot of the wall then fabric laid down before backfilled with dirt.

Schwertley Construction invites you to come view this 1,236 SF of asphalt sections that were deteriorating and replaced with concrete. This project was completed for this Homeowners Association within a two and a half day timeframe.

We recently completed the installation of a new rear patio and front walkway for this client. The existing driveway, installed by a previous contractor, exhibited improper grading in several areas, leading to significant water accumulation in a low spot. Given the client's current budgetary constraints, a full driveway replacement was not feasible. Therefore, we implemented a drainage solution and re-graded specific sections to mitigate the immediate issue. It is also important to note that the original driveway was constructed with insufficient thickness, directly on soil, and without proper reinforcement, contributing to its current state of deterioration.

This situation underscores the importance of selecting qualified professionals for construction projects. Prioritizing cost over quality can often lead to more significant expenses and complications in the long run.

In addition to the patio and walkway, we installed an underground downspout to manage water runoff and re-graded the backyard to ensure proper drainage away from the residence.

Check out this awesome monolithic slab for a sunroom, complete with a stair leading down to another patio area! It's perfect for hanging out with friends and family. We also poured a shed slab with a ramp for this customer.

We meticulously planned every step to guarantee a top-notch result. All our work adheres to Lancaster County codes and passed inspection. We're talking 36-inch deep frost footings that stair-step to keep the top of the footing below grade, a v***r barrier, R-10 2-inch foam board under the floor, and reinforced with #4 rebar.
