This month, we’re introducing you to Ross Sheridan, a Service/Install Technician who has been part of the Custom Cooling & Heating team for over 10 years.
Ross came to Custom Cooling with an HVAC/R background from Southeast Community College and holds his Journeyman certification. What keeps him interested in the job after all these years? No two days are quite the same.
A Problem Solver at Heart
Ross says what he enjoys most about his job is “solving a new problem every day. It keeps me on my toes.”
Whether he’s troubleshooting a system or completing an installation, the most rewarding part for Ross is fixing a customer’s problem and making their home comfortable again.
For Ross, craftsmanship also means taking pride in what you leave behind. His philosophy is simple: be proud to put your name on the work you’ve done.
10 Years with a Great Team
When asked about the culture at Custom Cooling, Ross had a straightforward answer: “Great people. I’d call everyone my friend.”
That teamwork carries over to the work itself. Ross believes everyone should work together and treat each project like it were being completed in their own home.
A Little More About Ross
When he’s not working, there’s a good chance you’ll still find Ross outdoors. He enjoys golfing, snowmobiling, watching and attending sports any time he is able.
A few more fun facts:
🏁 He’s a big racing fan and lived in Nebraska, but is an Iowa State fan
🍤 His go-to comfort food is seafood
📺 He never gets tired of watching Shameless
❄️ Hidden talent: getting snowmobiles stuck!
🍽️ Dream dinner guests: John Daly, Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan
And his advice for anyone just getting started in HVAC? “Be ready to learn way more than you expected.”
Thanks for All You Do, Ross!
After a decade with Custom Cooling & Heating, Ross continues to bring experience, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to doing quality work for every customer.
We’re glad to have him on the team!
