We are officially wrapping up this demolition project in Paris! Last week’s rain put the project on hold, but we are scheduled to complete everything tomorrow.

The final tasks include loading out the remaining concrete and performing a rough grade. Once that’s finished, this project will be 100% complete.

Total Demolition LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. This position focuses on residential and commercial demolition projects, along with light excavation work. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, take pride in their work, and possess a solid understanding of construction practices and job site safety.

Responsibilities

* Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on active job sites
* Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment functionality and safety compliance
* Assist with site preparation for demolition and excavation projects
* Load dump trucks and dumpsters with debris, dirt, and materials
* Maintain a clean and organized job site at all times
* Work closely with project managers and crew members to execute project plans effectively
* Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
* Perform basic maintenance and daily upkeep on equipment

Requirements

* Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active job sites
* Strong understanding of construction site procedures and safety practices
* Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
* Experience operating:
* Excavators
* Skid Steers
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
* Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* Reliable transportation and strong punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous demolition or excavation experience
* Ability to read site plans
