New Rip Rap Install!

On this Lake Lanier property, Marine Specialties installed new rip rap, stone steps and shoreline steps with rise-over-run boards so the dock can be moved in and out as water levels change.

At the base, we used large Type 1 stone to lock in the foundation and help hold the surrounding rock in place. It is not the part most people notice first, but it is the part doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

The result is one cohesive shoreline that:
• helps control erosion
• creates easier access to the water
• makes dock movement more manageable
• gives the entire waterfront a more finished look
