Some entrances are meant to frame more than the doorway.

For this custom project, the architecture gave us an opportunity to create an entry that feels almost like a window onto the landscape. The expansive glass keeps the view beyond the home visible, while the richly textured wood provides the warmth and substance needed to define such a large opening.

Following the arch of the surrounding architecture, the complete entry system feels integrated rather than added on—balancing scale, natural light, craftsmanship, and the character of the home.

Some of our favorite doors begin with an idea we’ve never been asked to build before.

For this entry, the client wanted elements of the Fibonacci sequence incorporated into the design—a mathematical pattern associated with proportion, progression, and forms found throughout nature.

That inspiration became the starting point for the composition of the doors. Geometric wood elements build across the upper portion of each panel before transitioning into long vertical lines, giving the entry a distinctive sense of movement and rhythm. On either side, textured-glass sidelights soften the incoming light and frame the double doors without distracting from the central design.

The result is more than a custom front door. It’s a personal idea translated into wood, proportion, and craftsmanship.
