Hi Chap Family - It's going to be a HOT one this week. Remember - AC units are meant to cool your home to about 15 to 20 degrees below the outside temperature. The lower you set your thermostat the harder your unit will work, never reach the set temperature and possibly over heat (or freeze) your unit.

Here are some tips to keep you cool on those really hot days.
1. Make sure your ceiling fans are set to spin down and not up so you get air flow directly on you.
2. Shut doors to bedrooms / rooms that are not in use.
3. Leverage the outside air - Open your windows at night if the air outside is cooler than the air inside your house. Be sure to close the windows in the morning before the sun heats everything back up.
4. Close your blinds during the day to keep the heat out.
5. Lastly (this is in desperation) buy a fan (table top) and put a bowl of ice water in front of it. Then sit so the fan blows the cool air directly onto you.
