Just a reminder.... most of you have had your sprinklers turned on this year. Please turn the timers off you don’t need to be watering for at least 3 weeks at this point . We had record rainfall the last 2 years with cooler temperatures and more rain on the way.

It’s going to be very hot this week but that doesn’t mean water your lawn everyday.... leave the zone for 45-55 mins and do it 2-3 times a week IF NEEDED!! You’re only watering your lawn to keep it out of drought stress. I still haven’t watered my lawn at all this year. I’m sure I will be this week. Just remember, if you water correctly your roots are far enough in the soil where the temperature is 20-30 degrees cooler than the surface.

Just because we have a couple of dry days that doesn’t mean turn your sprinklers on.... almost every lawn has fungus and the lawn needs to dry to get rid of the fungus. This is how you should be watering and mowing your lawn no matter what time of year.

So there’s a massive amount of rain coming Monday and Tuesday. I would turn your timers off today . I know everyone has rain sensors but you will not need your sprinklers for close to a week or more after this rain. There’s tons of mushrooms and fungus out there already. (My lawn included). Those are mushrooms in my yard. This means that there’s too much moisture in the soil and I haven’t watered my lawn at all this year..... make sure if you are watering to only do it once a week for 50 mins per zone. 1 or 2 hot days doesn’t mean you water everyday or even every other day. Just a reminder to everyone.... just because we have had a few warm days it doesn’t mean to start watering. We’ve had more than enough rainfall this year the ground is already soaked with more rain coming. Make sure to turn your timers off you won’t need your sprinklers for at least 2 to 3 weeks maybe longer. Also make sure your mower is on the highest setting!! Short grass is unhealthy grass. It's that time of year again!!!! Core aeration is the healthiest thing you can do for your lawn. As always estimates are free so call or message me ASAP. If your lawn is bare or very thin then slice seeding may be for you.. whatever your needs I have the solution!
