Penn Windows & Doors I'm Erin Duffield, 2nd generation owner of Penn Windows & Doors. Penn Windows & Doors has been a local institution since 1948.

I've been working at Penn Windows since 2000, purchasing the company from my father (Rick Hauler) in 2020 and bringing on my son, Michael Duffield to help keep the family business going. Their showroom is located at 1518 Union Boulevard in Allentown, PA. They offer free in-home consultations for their custom vinyl windows, steel and fiberglass doors, storm doors, and patio doors. Before deciding what to do with a damaged window, look beyond the damage you can see.

We consider the frame, operation, glass, seals, and overall performance. A minor component problem may call for repair. Structural deterioration or several recurring issues may point toward replacement.

Our team has helped Lehigh Valley homeowners navigate these decisions since 1948, from Allentown and Bethlehem to Easton and surrounding communities.

Your front door doesn't have to choose between strength and style.

Steel entry doors offer durable construction while giving homeowners plenty of room to personalize the look with color and panel design. That means we can make a practical choice without giving up the character we want at the front of the home.

Picture a classic painted door on a home near Allentown's West Park, a richer color welcoming guests in Bethlehem, or a clean, traditional finish in one of the Lehigh Valley's established neighborhoods.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we offer ProVia steel and fiberglass entry systems and help homeowners create an entrance that feels right for the architecture of their home.

Rain has a way of finding the places your house would rather keep dry.

Water around a window can point to damaged seals, failed caulking, drainage problems, or installation issues. Left unchecked, moisture can contribute to deterioration and other damage.

We encourage homeowners to pay attention early, especially in Pennsylvania homes that face plenty of rain, wind, and temperature changes.

From Allentown’s established neighborhoods to Bethlehem, Easton, and the wider Lehigh Valley, we help homeowners understand what their windows may be telling them.

Winter doesn't automatically put a pause on window replacement.

Windows can be installed during colder months when weather conditions allow the work to be completed safely and properly. Working one opening at a time can also help limit how much of your home is exposed to outdoor temperatures during installation.

That's useful to know for homeowners planning projects in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, or anywhere else across the Lehigh Valley.

We've been serving local homeowners for decades, and we install every window we sell, with a 10-Year Workmanship and Service Warranty on our installations.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we believe homeowners deserve straightforward answers before making a major home improvement decision.

It's one thing to admire a beautiful front door.
It's another to picture that door on your house.

We can photograph your existing entrance and show you how a new door could look, giving you a clearer idea of the finished project before you make a decision.

That can be especially helpful when you're weighing colors, styles, and panel designs for a home in Allentown, Bethlehem, or one of the surrounding Lehigh Valley communities.

From neighborhoods near West Park to homes farther out toward Macungie, we're interested in getting the details right before installation day arrives.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we use experience, technology, and careful planning to help homeowners feel confident about the choices they're making.

Sometimes the question is not simply, “Can this window be replaced?”
It is also, “Should it be?”

Original windows can contribute to the character of older and historic homes. If the window remains structurally sound and its architectural details are worth preserving, repair may deserve consideration.

We understand why that matters in places like Old Allentown and the West End, where the character of the home is part of the neighborhood itself.

Do your window screens really need to come out when the temperatures drop?
Not necessarily.

Modern window screens are designed to withstand normal seasonal temperature changes, so removing them for winter isn't automatically part of the maintenance checklist. If your screens are in good condition and your window system is designed for them to remain installed, they can stay put.

That's one less seasonal chore for homeowners from West Park to South Whitehall, Bethlehem, and neighborhoods throughout the Lehigh Valley.

We believe good window care starts with knowing what your windows actually need… and what they don't.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we've been helping local homeowners make informed window choices from our Allentown showroom on Union Boulevard for decades.

A window should open, close, and lock without becoming a household event.

If yours is sticking, dragging, or refusing to close properly, the cause could be a warped frame, worn hardware, balance problem, weather-related change, or simple age.

We always recommend resisting the urge to force it. That can turn a manageable problem into a larger one.

It is a familiar concern for homeowners throughout Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and the surrounding Lehigh Valley.

Replacing an entry door isn't always as simple as changing the slab.

The existing frame matters, too. If it's deteriorated, poorly fitted, or contributing to gaps and other performance issues, replacing the complete door system may make more sense than installing a new slab into an unsuitable frame.

That's why we look at the whole entry, not just the part you see from the front step.

For homeowners from Allentown and Bethlehem to Easton and the surrounding Lehigh Valley, that kind of assessment can make a big difference in the finished result.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we help homeowners compare their options and install the door systems we sell, with a focus on quality products, professional installation, and straightforward service.

That foggy spot isn't always something you can simply wipe away.

When moisture appears between the panes of an insulated glass window, it can indicate that the seal has failed. Beyond making the glass look cloudy, a compromised seal can affect the window's clarity and performance.

It's an easy detail to overlook until it becomes impossible to ignore.

If you've noticed it on a home near Allentown's West Park, around Bethlehem, or anywhere across the Lehigh Valley, it's worth taking a closer look.

At Penn Windows & Doors, we pay attention to the details inside the window, not just the view outside it.
