What you see is what you get when you purchase a Aflex Home. Minimal damage/disruption: By building a Aflex home off site we also minimise damage/disruption to your land. Cost efficiency: Our construction yard is a level and set up for transportable homes to be built, we have permanent piles and bearers set up for large and small homes , If your site is located in a remote coastal or rural area you may also find that labour is scarce and travel costs for builders to go to your site are prohibitive. A transportable home, built off site can be a more affordable choice. Fast build times: Minimal delays and maximum efficiency , our sub contractors are all local and no the way of our builds , they are also very reliable and will show on the dates provided.

The role would involve client enquiries, house sales, colour consultations, coordinating subcontractors and overseeing projects from start to finish.

We’re looking for someone who’s motivated, organised, great with people and has plenty of get up and go!

Experience in building, sales or project management would be an advantage.

Potential commission-based incentives, flexibility and plenty of opportunity to grow with the business!

something a little out of the box from us… and probably one of the coolest builds we’ve been involved with.( regretting not getting in touch with “ moving houses “ )

All up, this home comes in at a whopping 275m², built in modules before making the journey to its final spot just out of Hokitika, overlooking the Tasman Sea.

There’s nothing basic about this one either.

A Linear 1500 gas fire, stone benchtops, fully tiled bathrooms, brushed brass fittings, custom cabinetry, multiple heating options and a full heat-transfer system right through to all the little details that make a house like this what it is.

The real test though was always going to be getting something of this scale from our yard to where it needed to be.

The modules were transported in, jacked into position and within 24 hours the whole 275m² was back together. Everything came back together cleanly, lined up as it should, and the finish we’d put into it at the yard carried right through to the finished home.

That part we’re pretty stoked about

And a huge thanks to Daniel and his team at Smith Crane & Construction Ltd. There were definitely a few challenges along the way where the easy option would’ve been to say it couldn’t be done. Instead Daniel and his team said I’m keen to give it a whirl ! worked it out and made it happen.

Now it’s sitting where it belongs, looking out over the Tasman Sea and you’d never know it arrived there in pieces.

We build plenty of straightforward homes and love doing them, but every now and then it’s good to get something that makes you scratch your head a bit.

So if you’ve got something a little outside the box, slightly crazy, or you’ve been told can’t be done…

Next one out of the yard! 🏡

Chris and Ethan from S&D Construction Ltd have done another fantastic job on this one. Our popular Totara plan is now ready to head to its new home in the Upper Buller Gorge, overlooking the beautiful Buller River.

It’s been a pleasure working with Ian and Liz to bring this project together for their daughter Sacha and her partner as they begin an exciting new chapter.

We can’t wait to see it set on site—it’s one of the best locations we’ve had the privilege of building for.

Same design. Two completely different colour choices . ⚫⚪

Chris and Ethan from S&D Construction Ltd are smashing out these two identical Aflex Homes, each with its own unique style.

One finished in crisp white and heading to Hokitika, where it’ll be completed with a large veranda, deck and carport. The other, finished in bold black, is off to Carters Beach as a stylish investment property.

Another custom-designed Aflex Home built by Joey and the team at JBuild Ltd.

Shane and Kaye had a clear vision for this one, and Kaye’s bold colour choices have absolutely paid off. The warm timber feature, crisp off white cladding and black soffits give this home a modern look that really stands out.

At 100sqm with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it’s proof you don’t need a massive home to have plenty of space.

Big views. Small footprint

Joey and Tyron from JBuild Ltd have kicked off on another stunner on Punt Road. This custom-designed 56sqm home proves you don’t need a big house to live large. Coming Complete with a deck, veranda and carport, it’ll feel twice the size when finished.

Ethan from Breakwater Construction smashing out this 60sqm build!

We’re excited to share that construction has started on our first Aflex Homes build using the new 70m² granny flat legislation
There is a short list of requirements that a project must meet to qualify, but overall, we’ve found the process to be a straightforward, cost-effective way to get a new build underway quickly.
The home still needs professionally prepared plans and must meet the requirements of the New Zealand Building Code, along with the relevant planning and site rules. However, once the plans for this project were completed, the final planning check, acceptance and PIM process took around two weeks, with only a relatively small approval cost.
It is also encouraging to see insurance providers and lenders accepting with this new pathway. We believe this is a positive step for homeowners wanting to add space for extended family, create an independent living option, or make better use of their property.
This build is now underway, and we’re looking forward to sharing its progress!
