A year ago, we were proud to complete the transformation of the Bowlee School Car Park in partnership with Rochdale Borough Council and Rochdale Development Agency, delivering the scheme on time ahead of the new school term. The project created 39 additional parking spaces, improved accessibility, added cycle parking, enhanced landscaping, and helped tackle localised flooding issues.

Looking back, it's great to see how this investment has continued to support staff, pupils and the wider school community, making journeys safer, easier and more sustainable.

🌳It was great to welcome stakeholders to Longford Park today as we marked the start of this exciting restoration project.

After hearing more about the works and the positive impact they'll have, we took a walk around the site to discuss what's coming next and how different areas of the park will be transformed.

Thanks to everyone who came along. We can't wait to get underway!

🌿 Way Back Wednesday – Worsley Delph 🌿

We worked with Salford City Council to breathe new life into Worsley Delph. From heritage restoration to improved public access, the project included:

✔️ Vegetation clearance & silt removal
✔️ Cleaning historic surfaces & redecorating fencing/parapets
✔️ New stone paving, viewing platform & site furniture
✔️ Signage, lighting & interpretation features
✔️ Fencing, gates, railings & minor drainage works

A complete transformation that preserves history while creating a welcoming space for the community 🌱✨

Improving Lives Through Community Support 💚

At Casey, Improving Lives is about more than the projects we deliver. It's about working alongside our customers, residents and community partners to understand local priorities and create impact that extends beyond our construction activity.

Over the past few weeks that has included:

💜 Helping a Your Housing Group resident take part in the Red Shoe Walk and raise awareness of dementia.
🫱🏼‍🫲🏼 Investing £2,000 in Brain Health Breakthrough CIC to support health, wellbeing and community connection in Lancashire.
🚀 Enabling three young women from Wigan to take part in Funding Futures' Elevate Her programme through a £5,000 contribution.
✨ Working with Shakerley Community Centre to create a lasting memorial to much-loved community member Sharrell Joy Walker.
🌱 Supporting One Manchester residents to improve shared green spaces through the Bickerdike Court Landscaping Project.

Different communities. Different needs. Different interventions.

But one consistent approach: listening locally, working collaboratively and investing where we can make a meaningful difference.

🌳 We're proud to be partnering with Trafford Council on the transformation of Longford Park as part of the People, Place and Nature Project.

Supported by over £3m from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the project will help protect and enhance one of Trafford's most valued green spaces, creating improved facilities and lasting benefits for the local community.

As Brian Knowles, Operations Director at Casey, said: "We are passionate about improving lives through the projects we deliver, and we look forward to working closely with the community to create a lasting legacy that encourages inclusion and greater connection with nature."

Work gets underway at the end of the month and we're incredibly excited to help bring this ambitious vision to life, creating a space that can be enjoyed by local people for generations to come.

Way Back Wednesday - Vaughan Street ⏪🏠

One year ago, we handed over Vaughan Street, delivering 46 shared ownership homes for Great Places Housing Group.

From unexpected engineering challenges below ground to creating a welcoming new neighbourhood above it, this was a project that showcased teamwork, problem-solving and quality delivery.

It's always rewarding to look back on completed projects and see the lasting impact they have on local communities.

🌼 Celebrating Community Pride in Rossendale 🌼

Behind every beautiful community space is a team of passionate people who give their time to make a difference.

Yesterday, we were proud to support the incredible volunteers at Civic Pride Rossendale as they prepared for their Britain in Bloom presentation. Their commitment, enthusiasm and pride in Rossendale is inspiring, and it was a privilege to play a small part in showcasing the fantastic work they do to make the borough a greener, more welcoming place for everyone.

With multiple projects currently underway across Rossendale, we're committed to Improving Lives by doing more than delivering construction projects. We're building lasting relationships, supporting the organisations that help communities thrive, and creating a positive legacy that continues long after our work is complete.

Social value is about investing in people and places, and we're excited to continue working alongside community groups like Civic Pride Rossendale to create opportunities, strengthen local partnerships and deliver meaningful improvements that help communities flourish.
