OSMOTHERLEY | GROUNDWORKS UPDATE

Another productive week on our Osmotherley project, with all excavations now complete, including the foundations for the new walls and steps.

Today marked another significant milestone, with 6.2m³ of concrete poured, bringing the groundwork phase another step closer to completion.

The next stage will see the installation of the gabion baskets and stone, forming another important part of the project’s construction.

This project is a perfect example of where our team excels.

Challenging ground conditions, restricted access, confined working areas and significant changes in levels all demand more than just the right machinery.

They demand experience, technical knowledge and skilled operators who understand how to approach complex groundworks safely and efficiently.

Osmotherley Project | Groundworks & Excavation

83 tonnes of material excavated in just 3 days!

A seriously productive start to our latest project in Osmotherley, with our two-man team making exceptional progress on a challenging site.

Working across multiple levels of the property with our excavator on one level and our site dumper on another, we’ve already excavated and removed 48 tonnes of soil and rubble, with a further 35 tonnes excavated and ready to leave site.

This is exactly what we do at Solum Projects.

Challenging access, difficult ground conditions and complex excavations are where our skills and experience really come into their own.

Our strength lies in combining skilled plant operators, extensive practical knowledge and experience, and a modern fleet of quality machinery to deliver efficient, professional groundworks.

Having the right equipment is important, but knowing how to use it effectively, safely and efficiently is what makes the difference.

Osmotherley Project | Groundworks Underway

Groundworks are now underway on our latest project in Osmotherley, where challenging site access has required careful planning and a practical approach from the outset.

With the existing gate access too restricted for larger machinery, we arranged access for our excavator through a neighbouring field. The team then developed a carefully planned system to transport excavated soil and rubble from the elevated rear garden down to the front of the property.

Projects like this demonstrate the importance of having the right knowledge, experience, equipment and problem solving ability before work even begins.

At Solum Projects, our skilled team, combined with our own modern fleet of excavators and dumpers, gives us the flexibility and capability to overcome challenging site conditions and carry out complex groundworks efficiently.

Today marks the beginning of another exciting landscape transformation in Osmotherley, with this spectacular backdrop set to be our view for the remainder of the year.

This bespoke, multi-level project will feature substantial structural retaining walls, beautifully selected premium paving and meticulous detailing throughout.

A project where considered design, quality materials and expert craftsmanship will come together to create a truly exceptional outdoor space!

Credit where credit is due!

We’ve had a few teething problems with our new JCB 26C-1 since taking delivery, but the team at TC Harrison JCB Sedgefield have been fantastic in getting things sorted.

After investigating the issues, they’ve now carried out some alterations to the hydraulic system, including fitting additional valves to improve the machine’s performance and operation.

We’ve been customers of TC Harrison since purchasing our very first machine, and the level of service and aftercare we’ve received over the years has been second to none.

As a business that relies on its machinery every day, having a dealership that genuinely cares about its customers and goes the extra mile to put things right is invaluable.

We’re looking forward to having the 26C-1 back on site on Monday and seeing how the new components perform in a working environment.
