New build homes are (usually) well-built, efficient, and of course brand new! But they do have their limitations. They are often designed with a calculator. This can lead to some frustrations, mainly its the ground floor internal space is the same, or smaller than the upper floors and these houses can lack much personality or features.

For this client in North Tyneside we have put things right. Extending to the front and rear, the new build house became the bones for this stunning grand design .

It's been a fantastic start to a great partnership. Scott has priced quickly, accurately, competitively (!) and has had the availability our clients have needed. This home in Gosforth is about to be absolutely transformed.

As with all of our clients, before they commit to an expensive design phase, our thorough Needs & Options Review is the perfect first step. We visit the site, carry out a measured survey and explore different floor plan options. That saves them from a very expensive mistake by setting the foundations of the project up for success.

Whitley Bay project complete!

This beautiful extension has transformed a previously disjointed layout into an open-plan masterpiece—featuring cantilevered glazing, stunning detailing inside and out, and an incredible finish by the contractor.

This was a fun one—a new build in Great Park for a lovely couple planning a big project for their retirement. They trusted Acre Design to guide them through the approvals process. We specified a timber frame structure, with plenty of steelwork to create those beautiful, spacious interiors you can see.

This is a stunning detached home in Low Fell, and as with all of our clients, they don't want to spend tens of thousands of pounds building a poor design.
