With spooky season fast aproaching with cozy darker evenings and mornings its much more important to make sure you have atleast one spare key and your vehicle keys are in tip top condition

Bringing a cold key fob into a warmer environment can cause condensation to form on the internal circuit boards. Moisture seeps into the casing or keyhole barrel, leading to short circuits, signal interference and rust,

Cold metal keyblades become stiff, brittle and easily damaged, putting stiff brittle keys into a lock can snap the blade off inside the barrel.

Plastic fob shells shrink and crack from thermal contraction or brake easily due accidental drops in the cold exposing the delicate internal parts of the key,

Cold weather thickens internal lock greases and oils, making mechanisms feel stiff, sticky, or completely seized putting more pressure on your vulnerable keys.

New citroen c1 keyshell for todays customer,

This customer has been lucky due to the shell being damaged it can pose significant harm to the micro switches on the internal circuit board, cause the battery contacts to become loose or damaged, cause the transponder chip to become misaligned, allow moisture and dirt inside causing corrosion or short circuiting and many many more problems which will cost more money to repair than a simple shell change
