Kitchen and dining room ceilings plastered over the existing Artex.
Both ceilings now have a smooth, fresh finish and are ready for decorating. Another couple of ceilings ticked off the list. 👌

Another Artex ceiling bites the dust! 😂
Hall, stair and landing ceilings plastered over the existing Artex, giving them a fresh, smooth finish ready for decorating.
Although it wasn’t the biggest of areas, this one was definitely more time consuming than it might look. The height meant working off ladders and battens, while the overall shape and layout of the ceilings made things a little slower and more awkward to work with.
But another one done, and very pleased with how it’s turned out. 👌
It does make me wonder just how many Artex ceilings are actually left in the country! 😂 I’ve personally spent the last 21+ years plastering over them, and somehow it still feels like there’s years, and years, and YEARS worth left to do.
When will they ever end?!

This living room ceiling was plastered over the existing Artex, giving it a fresh, smooth finish.
To get a proper finish around the edges, the existing wallpaper had to be stripped back approximately a foot from the ceiling to allow me to make a clean connection with the wall.
The customer is going to take care of stripping the remaining wallpaper and preparing the walls themselves before carrying out the decorating.
Another clean job completed and another ceiling transformed. 👌

Another bedroom completed with the walls fully plastered, creating a smooth, fresh finish ready for decorating.
The existing wall vents were also removed, with the openings boarded up and plastered over to leave a clean and seamless finish.
The walls in this room were higher than usual, which certainly made the plastering more challenging than a standard bedroom. Not the easiest of jobs, but we got there in the end ! and the finished result was well worth the effort. 💪
As always, plenty of attention to detail throughout, with keeping the work area clean and tidy just as important as achieving a quality finish.
Another one completed and ready for the customer to put their finishing touches to it. 👌

Another living room recently completed, with plenty of preparation and attention to detail going into this one.
The project started with plastering the main feature wall, including carefully forming and finishing the existing archway to create a clean, crisp feature.
Once the plastering was complete, it was time for the decorating:
▪️ Ceilings finished in white matt emulsion
▪️ Walls, including the feature wall, finished in acrylic durable matt emulsion
▪️ All woodwork finished in white satinwood
The woodwork required quite a bit of extra preparation, particularly the existing skirting boards which were loose and needed attention before they could be properly prepared and finished.
It took a little extra work to get everything over the line, but that's all part of the job. Good preparation is what helps achieve a quality finish.
Another room transformed from plastering through to the final coat, with the same attention to detail we put into every job.

Another great transformation ! This living room ceiling was plastered over the existing Artex to create a smooth, fresh finish.
We also fitted new 5-inch coving, giving the room a crisp, finished look and a much more modern feel.
Another job where the difference is in the detail. A smooth ceiling, sharp edges and beautifully finished coving. 👌

A great transformation to this top hall and stair ceiling, plastered over the existing Artex to achieve a smooth, clean and modern finish. Also removed the existing ceiling rose.
This one was a little different, with the ceiling being worked on at height above the staircase making preparation, protection and keeping everything clean even more important.
For me, the finished product is only half the job. Keeping a customer’s home clean and protected throughout is just as important. The cream carpet was carefully protected and left completely spotless.
The result is a beautifully smooth, modern ceiling and a spotless home. Exactly how we believe every job should be left

Another living room now completed.

Started off by plastering the old fireplace opening and blending it into the existing walls.

Once the plastering was finished, the ceiling and coving were given two coats of white matt emulsion, followed by two coats of acrylic durable matt emulsion on the walls.

All the existing woodwork was then finished in white satinwood.

A good bit of prep involved, but another room brought back up fresh and tidy. 👌

Another hall and stair landing completed. 👌

The ceiling and walls were fully plastered before giving everything a full makeover.

The ceiling was finished in a clean white matt emulsion, with the walls receiving three coats of acrylic durable matt emulsion for a hard-wearing finish. All the existing woodwork was also freshened up in white satinwood.

A good bit of work involved, but the end result is a fresh, clean and completely transformed hall and stair landing.

Another tidy job finished and another happy customer. 👍

Another job completed 👌

Ceiling plastered over the existing Artex, an old doorway blocked up and blended into the existing walls, plus various cracks and holes repaired throughout.

Everything left smooth, clean and ready for decorating.
