The shot is only half the work. A little before and after from a recent headshot session.

Small adjustments, clean retouching and finishing touches that keep things natural while bringing the final image together.

We worked alongside the University of Alberta and Curio Studio to create this video for the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute (WCHRI).

For this project, our client had a photo of a welder as their main inspiration and imagery they wanted for their logo. While it was a strong visual reference, the challenge was transforming a detailed photograph into a mark that was original, scalable, and instantly recognizable.

The final result is a custom logo that captures the original concept while functioning as a versatile brand mark across print, digital, signage, apparel, and more.

A good reminder that what works in a photo doesn't always work in a logo and thoughtful refinement is what bridges that gap.
