☀️ With another hot Riverland summer on the horizon, now is the time to get your air con ready - before the first scorcher sends everyone running for the phone. 🥵

A few simple things can help your system work smarter:

🧼 Clean your filters — dirty filters make your system work harder.

🌿 Keep the outdoor unit clear — give it plenty of room to breathe and keep leaves, grass and other obstructions away.

🪟 Block out the heat — close blinds, curtains and shutters, especially on those harsh afternoon-facing windows.

🌬️ Use ceiling fans — they can help circulate cool air and get you comfortable without constantly cranking the air con.

🌡️ Don’t go crazy with the thermostat — around 22–23°C is a good starting point for efficient cooling.

If your system is struggling, making strange noises, or just not keeping up, now is the time to get it checked, not when the whole Riverland is calling.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Clever Connections stall for a chat at Field Days! 💛

It was great to catch up with familiar faces, meet plenty of new ones and chat all things solar, batteries, energy and electrical.

A special thank you to everyone who supported our raffle by buying a ticket. Congratulations to Ruth Z. on taking home the amazing prize! 🎉

We’re proud to donate all raffle proceeds to the Red Cross.

Most of all, it was fantastic to see so many Riverland businesses, locals and families getting behind Field Days and supporting an event that brings our community together.🌾💛

🌬️ Your air con’s outdoor unit works hard to move heat out of your home, so it needs good airflow around it to do its job properly.

Before summer hits, have a quick look around it:
🌿 Trim back grass and weeds
🍂 Clear away leaves and debris
📦 Move stored stuff away from the unit
🌱 Keep plants from growing too close

And remember — don’t box it in or cover it up. It needs airflow, not a backyard bunker. 😉

A few minutes of clearing can help your system breathe easier this summer.
