Our advice to anyone looking to build a new home would be to spend time developing a clear vision before you begin. Having a good idea of your preferred layout, design, colours, style, and interior finishes from the start makes the decision-making process much easier and helps create a home that truly reflects your personal taste. If there are specific products or finishes you’ve always wanted, sourcing some of these yourself can also be a great option to ensure you achieve exactly the look you’re after, while still making the most of the great range of selections available through GJ Gardner.

We’d also recommend taking your time during the final handover and in the months that follow to thoroughly inspect your home. Building is a detailed process, and it’s worth checking that every item has been completed and finished to the standard you expect. Keeping a list of any small items that need attention makes it easy for your builder to address them and ensures you’re completely happy with the finished result.

🏡 A Great Few Days in Melbourne
Last month, the GJs team headed to Melbourne for staff training, taking some time to learn, share ideas and build on our knowledge together.

It was a great opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, pick up some new ideas and spend some quality time together as a team.

Helen and Sam have officially hit the halfway point of their 500km Oceans to Outback challenge for the Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT, with reaching 288km and raising $388 so far! 💙

A huge effort so far, with plenty more kilometres still to go before the end of October.
