Aether Installations is expanding its electrical delivery network for commercial and strata EV charging projects.

We’re seeking an established commercial electrical contractor who can assess a site, prepare a clear quotation and, once the client approves the work, complete the installation through to commissioning and handover.

We want continuity from the first inspection through to the finished project.

THE WORK

• Paid site assessments, photos and written technical findings.
• Supply, switchboard, protection and metering investigations.
• Load monitoring and demand analysis where required.
• Itemised quotations with clear allowances and exclusions.
• Installation of EV switchboards, feeders, cable trays and charging circuits.
• Charger installation, load management, communications and commissioning.
• Testing, compliance documentation and final handover.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Demonstrated commercial and strata electrical experience.
• Current Victorian electrical contractor registration, appropriately licensed personnel and insurance.
• Experience with three-phase supplies, commercial switchboards and occupied buildings.
• Capacity to deliver approved works with your own team or an agreed delivery arrangement.
• Reliable turnaround times for quotations, reports and installations.
• Clear communication and early notice of anything affecting scope, cost or timing.
• The judgement to identify when engineering, distributor input or specialist testing is needed.

This opportunity is suited to contractors with proven commercial experience and the capability to deliver complete projects.

HOW WE WORK

Aether manages the client relationship and overall project coordination. You provide the agreed electrical assessment, quotation and delivery.

Fees, scope, responsibilities, scheduling and payment terms are agreed before proceeding. Approved projects are scheduled by mutual agreement.

Home charging sorted in Caulfield South ⚡

An Ocular 7kW single-phase wall charger installed in the garage for Morris and Ava’s Toyota bZ4X - giving them the convenience of plugging in at home and charging overnight.

The installation scope included:

✅ A dedicated EV charging circuit from the switchboard to the garage
✅ Dedicated circuit protection
✅ Secure wall mounting and tidy cable routing
✅ Charger configuration, electrical testing and commissioning

7kW, 11kW or 22kW - which EV charger do you actually need? ⚡

One of the most common questions we get is whether it’s worth installing the biggest charger available.

The answer depends on more than the number printed on the charger.

Your actual AC charging speed is determined by three things:

⚡ Your property’s electrical supply
🔌 The EV charger
🚗 Your vehicle’s onboard AC charging capability

For many Australian homes, a properly designed 7kW single-phase installation provides more than enough charging capacity for overnight use.

If you have three-phase power, 11kW or 22kW may be possible - but your vehicle still needs to support those charging rates.
That’s why we assess the whole system, rather than simply recommending the biggest charger.
