A retaining wall and the fence above it aren’t always treated separately.

Depending on how they’re designed and connected, the wall, fence and privacy screening can be considered together when assessing things like overall height, structural loads and approval requirements.

That means adding a fence to an existing retaining wall isn’t always as simple as just bolting some posts on top.

The retaining wall needs to be suitable for the extra wind load and forces created by the fence — particularly with taller or solid fencing such as Colorbond.

After many years operating as Retain Fence Build, the business has now officially separated and will be closing this chapter.

We would like to sincerely thank all clients, suppliers, employees, friends, family and supporters who have been part of the journey over the years. The support and relationships built throughout this time have truly been appreciated.
