Main switch is off, tested for dead, that means off right? 🤔 WRONG! ⚡️

Another prime example of why you need to be careful out there.

On this episode of sparkys doing dumb stuff we encounter a general power circuit that's been accidentally connected to a controlled economy tariff. 😒

For the non sparkys out there the danger in this situation is:

- You do your safe isolation procedure and test for dead.
- Confirm no power at the outlet, all good, lock out and commence work.
- During your work the ripple relay clicks on and the wiring that was just dead a moment ago is now live.
- This ends in a very bad day.

The scary part is even when following safe isolation procedures the mistakes of the last guy can still bite you in the ass.

I can hear the internet warriors out there screeching "Mackie it's no different to a hot water or pool circuit turning on at random"...but ask yourself, when have you ever expected a bathroom GPO to be on a controlled tariff?

Show this to your apprentices, co-workers and take note yourself because stuff like this is out there waiting.
