New face alert- We've got another legend who's joined the Mackie Electrical crew.
Everyone, meet Marty, our newest 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice, and we're stoked to have him on board!

Marty's already fitting right in with the team, and we're excited to watch him continue to grow his skills, learn a few tricks of the trade, and most importantly... survive the daily banter! 😂

When he's not on the tools, you'll generally find Marty out camping, hitting the 4WD tracks, hanging out with friends, or enjoying a few cold ones in FNQ's best spots. Safe to say, he's going to fit in around here just fine!

We can't wait for you to meet Marty, we're sure you'll love him just as much as we already do!

We've been keeping a little (big) secret... We bought a shed!

After 5+ years of working from our home base, growing our team and adapting as the business has grown, the time has come for Mackie Electrical to have a larger space of its own.
It's taken plenty of hard work, long days and lots of stressful moments to get here, so we're incredibly proud to reach this milestone. We're very grateful to our customers, our team and local community who have supported and continue to support us along the way.

There's plenty of work ahead to turn it int what we have planned and we can't wait to share the progress and show you around.

So, what does this mean for our customers? Our new location will give us a better base to service both the Northern and Southern sides of Cairns, helping us improve travel efficiency and support our growing team. Other than that, business as usual. You can still expect the same friendly, reliable service just from a slightly bigger space.

Here's to our next chapter of Mackie Electrical 2.0! 🎉⚡

We've been very busy cooking up some exciting things to share with you all soon!

While you wait with anticipation, we'll share some other jobs that we've been up to:
The hot weather is starting to slowly turn on which brings AC upgrades before the summer rush, plenty of lighting & fan upgrades, exhaust fans, security lighting & smoke alarms. It's been a nice variety for the team!

Friendly reminder - Don't leave your smoke arlam upgrades until last minute!
Summer is the busiest time of year for AC works with most Sparkies around Cairns and as of the 1st January 2027, all QLD homes must be upgraded to suit new safety regulations. Upgrade your smoke alarms to compliant today so your compliance doesn't lapse!
