This mural continues the one I painted at the Gippsland Cardiology service in Morwell (Victoria - Australia), same themes of resilience, renewal, and quiet strength through hard times. Created in collaboration with Latrobe City Council.

The wall is meant to be read from left to right: the flowers transform from simple, essential shapes into fully detailed, realistic blooms:
a journey from a small spark to something fully alive.

Same color palette and style as the first mural, so the two feel like one continuous piece, following the long horizontal shape of the wall.

Three native Gippsland plants carry the story:

Acacia (Wattle): one of the first to regrow after fire; its yellow blooms represent hope and quiet strength.

Eucalyptus flower: endurance and adaptability, blooming again just when you least expect it.

Grevillea victoriae: thrives in tough environments; its red flowers speak of bold transformation.

All three are native to Gippsland, a reminder that no matter the hardship, renewal and beauty are always possible.

I am so grateful to Latrobe City Council and Gippsland Cardiology Service for believing in the healing power of art and nature.

This mural shows two special Australian plants: Kangaroo Paw and Banksia.
What makes them amazing is that they are born from the smoke and fire of the bush.

After fierce bushfires or freezing winters, these plants do not just survive, they come back stronger than before.

The heat of the fire opens the Banksia’s cones to release its seeds, while the chemical power of the smoke awakens the Kangaroo Paw seeds buried in the soil.

They show us that new life can begin, even in the hardest moments.

I chose these flowers for the Gippsland Cardiology Service because I see them as a symbol of the courage and recovery found inside this centre.

Thank you again to Latrobe City Council and Gippsland Cardiology Service for letting me share this story.

These flowers are proof that in nature, blossoming is possible even after the hardest times.
