The Research Council of Zimbabwe convened a strategic meeting on the Establishment and Launch of the Zimbabwe Centre of Excellence for Electric Vehicle Design and Development. The meeting which was held at SIRDC was officiated by the Research Council of Zimbabwe Board Chair, Air Cdre, Dr. Eng. E. M. Kamusoko. SIRDC Scientists attended the meeting.

The SIRDC Evaporative Cooling System project team: Dr Farai Matawa (Water and Environment Cluster Team Leader); Eng Blessing C Makoni (Deputy Director Production Engineering Institute (PEI); Eng Rejoice Sithole and Takudzwa Maranga (Research Scientists - PEI) and Linnet Chinyanga (Marketing Analyst - Public Relations and Marketing), attended a Capacity Building and Technology Orientation Seminar for the Low Temperature Evaporative Cooling System (LTEIHT-AC) Project at the UNDP offices. The purpose of the session was to share experiences, present progress and encourage peer learning.
