🚜 A STRONG HEAP-LEACH PAD STARTS LONG BEFORE THE BLACK LINER GOES DOWN.
What you see today is the result of extensive work beneath the surface.
This project began on a steep, tree-covered mountainside with no level construction platform. Before installing the geomembrane, our team had to:
✅ Survey and set out the entire working area
✅ Clear the site and establish access routes
✅ Cut deep into the mountainside
✅ Move and spread large volumes of earth
✅ Level and compact the pad foundation
✅ Form the required slopes and drainage channels
✅ Remove rocks and sharp material that could damage the liner
✅ Prepare the pond and solution-collection areas
A liner cannot correct an unstable, uneven or incorrectly graded foundation. The ground must be properly shaped to carry thousands of tonnes of ore while directing process solution toward the collection system.
Good lining begins with good earthworks.
