Around 2022, a Zimbabwean cattle farmer based in Mozambique contacted me. He had drilled a dry 100m borehole at his farm in Mozambique. To him, the problem was clear: the previous surveyor had little knowledge, used outdated terrameter machines that required manual resistivity calculations and hand-drawn graphs, plus there was a communication barrier.

After negotiations, we agreed: the client would cover our transport and accommodation in Mozambique. Our job was to survey 5 borehole sites on his farm. No ranking — all 5 points had to be equally good.

We arrived Thursday evening. From Friday to the following Monday, we experienced a water-hunting session we truly enjoyed as enthusiastic water surveyors.

First, we calibrated the dry hole with the ADMT Golden Rod Water Detector, which scans to 300m depth. Beneath the dry hole? No sign of water fractures. The old survey was wrong.

We then located 5 best points across the whole farm.All the points hit water as confirmed by the client.

Following an unsuccessful 70-meters dry borehole drilled with another service provider.We successfully obtained water for sekuru on his second borehole attempt,which he opted to undertake with our team

Do you have a dry borehole??..
Only one solution exists invite us over for calibration survey;done to see if they are potential water fractures beneath the drilled depth incase we are to deepen the borehole.

We then conduct a thorough resurvey of the whole site to search and locate another better drill spot.The 2 results are compared,results of the calibration survey to see if we can deepen vs results of the site re-survey to see if we can get another excellent point to drill another borehole.
