I am thrilled and deeply honored to announce my appointment as Country Director for the Zambian 🇿🇲 Chapter of the Empower Skilled Trades Foundation (ESTF).
ESTF is a Canadian non-profit organization based in Alberta Canada, dedicated to reducing poverty and expanding opportunity by delivering high-quality, inclusive skilled trades training aligned with Canadian Red Seal standards. The foundation empowers youth, women, and marginalized communities across Africa with vocational skills in areas like Carpentry, Welding, plumbing, electrical work, and more creating pathways to meaningful employment, community resilience, and ethical global mobility.
In my new role, I am committed to scaling impactful programs in Zambia that equip our young people especially women and underserved youth with the practical skills, certifications, mentorship, and workplace readiness they need to thrive in local industries and beyond.
My deep roots in Zambia, combined with my Carpentry work experience and contributions to the CBET curriculum development and validation in the TVET sector in Zambia, I will help drive localized implementation, stronger government and stakeholder collaborations, and increased access to training opportunities.
This will accelerate ESTF’s mission by tailoring programs to Zambia’s specific labor market needs, boosting enrollment and completion rates, fostering sustainable community impact, and building a pipeline of skilled, ethical professionals who contribute to national development while bridging global workforce gaps.
I look forward to working with our incredible team, partners, and the vibrant Zambian community to turn potential into prosperity. Together, we can build a future where skilled trades power economic growth and individual success.
Thank you to the Empowered Skilled Trades Foundation team for the confidence they have placed in me for the Zambian 🇿🇲 Chapter.
