Founded in 2013,Bulongo incubator for fashion and creative arts was formed out of a great need to share opportunities in the creative industry particularly in Design,fashion and textiles. Zambia is one of the biggest cotton growers in the southern region, However , 90% of cotton grown is exported, leaving local designers to work with expensive imported fabrics and hindering real progress and or
success in the business of textile products.The industry has been shunned, thus regarded as only for academically challenged individuals .This has led to society discouraging any kind advance into fashion and design professions.Bulongo Incubator for fashion and creative arts, is the first ever fashion business incubator designed to provide shared workspace,creative business skills and technical skills transfer through various programs. Our aim is to encourage responsible design through circular business models that promote sustainability resulting in a cleaner and better invironment for all. Our vision is to diversify Zambia’s manufacturing industry, encourage up to date creative design skills and standards that will gain recognition and loyalty among artisans
