LISTEN CONTRACTORS AND CLIENTS.
Let's talk about something that many skilled fundis experience.
Please don't use a professional's knowledge just to get quotations, site inspections, and technical guidance, then hand the job over to someone else who isn't qualified for the work.
Imagine taking me to the site to inspect the project, prepare a professional quotation, and advise on the electrical and plumbing installation. The client sends money for materials and even 50% of my labour, but suddenly the story changes: _"I'll call you later."
Then I find out the wiring is being done by a plaster fundi instead of a qualified electrician.
And the piping is being done by a general hand instead of a qualified plumber.
Let's respect each other's time, skills, and profession.
Electrical work is not trial-and-error. It requires proper sizing, safety standards, and accountability. One wrong connection can burn a house down.
Plumbing work is not trial-and-error either. Wrong pipe sizing, bad glue joints, or poor pressure testing leads to leaks, burst pipes, and thousands in damage 3 months later.
Both require experience, proper planning, and someone who will stand by the work.
When we value professionalism, everyone wins — the contractor, the electrician, the plumber, and most importantly, the client who gets a safe, lasting job.
Respect people's knowledge. Respect skilled labour. Pay for expertise.
