• Excavate to the required depth until competent bearing soil is reached.
• Construct a proper reinforced concrete foundation.
• Cast the foundation with the specified concrete thickness, typically not less than 150 mm, and often 225 mm where soil conditions require it.
• Build foundation blockwork correctly, with the required number of courses below and above ground level depending on the design and site levels.
• Follow structural drawings, specifications, and good construction practice.
…with someone who simply places mortar on the ground, skips proper excavation, ignores foundation requirements, and starts building?
Those are not the same products.
So why should the prices be the same?
