Job Title:
GRAPHIC DESIGNER
(Printing, branding & Design)
Location: Kitwe, Zambia
Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and customer-focused Graphic designer with solid knowledge of the printing, branding and design industry. The ideal candidate should understand various printing methods, materials, and design concepts, and be able to coordinate client requests efficiently from initial inquiry to final delivery. This role involves client order management, production coordination, and supporting business growth through excellent service and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Engagement
Attend to walk-in and potential clients, understanding their printing and branding needs
Advise clients on suitable products, materials, sizes, and finishes
2. Printing & Design Knowledge
Demonstrate a strong understanding of printing methods and techniques
Advise clients on materials (fabric, paper types, banners, vinyl, etc.) and suitable applications
Interpret client ideas and clearly communicate requirements and handle them as design and production team
Ensure client artwork and specifications are print-ready and also ensure high-quality output meets client expectations
3. Order Coordination
Capture accurate job details and provide clear briefs to other production staff and ensure timely completion and delivery,
Maintain effective communication with clients regarding order status
4. Business Development Support
Identify opportunities to upsell services
Support marketing initiatives to attract and retain clients,
Suggest creative printing and branding solutions tailored to client needs
Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Graphic Design, or related field
1 years’ experience in a printing, branding, or design environment,
Strong knowledge of printing processes, materials, and basic design coordination
Familiarity with design tools (CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop etc..) is an advantage.
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate effectively with teams
