McLily Alstromerias

17/08/2026

It's been a muddy, wet, wonderful few days. 🌧️

Three days of rain arrived just as winter was ready to loosen its grip. Gumboots caked in mud. Puddles where the paths used to be. A little chaos before the calm.

"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow." (Matthew 6:28)

Spring's on its way, follow along as we grow into it together. 🌸

So happy to have 2 hives for my Alstros . One came with the plants from Howick and the other is a wild hive rescued by Bushveld Bees.
Both hives have settled beautifully 🐝🐝

Super excited to be starting this new venture . I have taken over McLily Flower Farm from Jenni McNamara. Can’t thank her enough for everything she has done for me and continues to teach me . I will be specialising in the long stemmed alstromeria plants and currently have 17 different varieties . We have relocated the plants and we are up and running on a small scale .
I have learnt so much from Meg Bailey and continue to learn from her incredible planning . I owe you so much Meg and will keep Baileys Blooms going for you because I know you will be back to achieve your dream 🌸 ❤️

This is how it started and I am looking forward to sharing this journey 🪴
