AT Security Tactical Team received information regarding a suspect wanted by SAPS Isipingo for attempted murder, with a warrant of arrest issued against the suspect.

AT Security Tactical Unit, together with SAPS Isipingo Vispol Unit, operationalised the information in V Section, Umkomaas, and successfully apprehended the male suspect.

The suspect was subsequently detained at SAPS Isipingo for further processing.

At approximately 18:30, an AT Security Response Officer noticed two suspicious individuals carrying bags opposite Engen Garage, Roseneath.

The response officer stopped and searched the two individuals, whereupon tools, starter motors, and stripped copper wires were recovered from the bags.

After questioning the individuals, it was established that a nearby car workshop had been broken into.

The two suspects were detained at SAPS Umkomaas for Section 13 – Possession of Suspected Stolen Property. The recovered items were booked into Umkomaas SAP 13 accordingly.

On 2026/05/11 at approximately 14h30, AT Security Crime Prevention received a report regarding a municipality JoJo tank that had been stolen from Sunpark, Roseneath.

The AT Security Crime Prevention Team acted promptly on information received, which led to the successful apprehension of a male suspect and the recovery of the stolen municipality JoJo tank.

The suspect was detained at SAPS Umkomaas accordingly, and the recovered item was entered into the SAPS property register.

On 2026/03/15 at approximately 05h00, a security patrol guard successfully apprehended a suspect while conducting routine patrols at the site.

The suspect had attempted to steal batteries from a machine on the premises. Due to the guard’s vigilance during the patrol, the suspect was successfully apprehended before leaving the site.

The security guard gave chase and successfully apprehended the suspect. The stolen items were recovered.

Date of Incident: 04 March 2026
Time: Approximately 19h30
Location: Next to Astron Garage, Craigieburn

On 04 March 2026 at approximately 19h30, AT Security Crime Prevention received a report of a robbery that occurred next to Astron Garage in Craigieburn. Upon arrival, officers found that the complainant had been robbed of cash and a cellphone. During the incident, the complainant was stabbed on the head by the suspect.

The complainant was assisted by the AT Security Response Team and transported to Scottburgh Hospital where he received medical treatment.

A case of robbery was opened at SAPS Umkomaas for further investigation.

On 05 March 2026, the suspect was successfully apprehended by AT Security members and handed over to SAPS Umkomaas. It was established that the suspect is currently out on parole.

The knife used in the commission of the crime was confiscated and booked into SAPS evidence under SAP13/181.

Outcome:
Suspect arrested and handed over to SAPS Umkomaas for further legal action
